The Fine Art Advocacy Foundation
The Fine Art Advocacy Foundation represents victims of art crimes and art fraud, their families and friends, and individuals concerned about the problems of victimization and art fraud and art crime on an International level. The Fine Art Advocacy Foundation plans to advocate for legislative reform to protect artists, collectors and institutions from art crime and art fraud and to increase the rights of victims of art crimes, as well as to provide support to victims of art crimes and art fraud that occur on a daily basis worldwide.
The primary objectives of The Fine Art Advocacy Foundation are:
- to act as an advocate and provide support to all victims of art fraud and art crimes;
- to act as an advocate and provide support to museums, historical societies and other repositories and historical landmarks and especially all American institutions currently struggling with today’s financial challenges;
- to act as an advocate and provide support to self-promoting artists in the challenges they face in an unregulated art market;
- to act as an advocate and provide support to collectors.
What We Do
The current art market is rife with crime and fraud. Our goal is to provide assistance to victims and those in need and in any manner possible. We can serve as an invaluable resource to all who have been victimized or that need assistance in navigating the uncertainty of today’s art industry.
There are many individuals, artists, collectors, gallery owners, museums and other public cultural institutions, that have had crimes committed against them and they often feel alone and frustrated by the legal system and the general lack of resources concerning art crime and art fraud. Our goal is to provide assistance to these victims in any manner possible. By gathering experiences, we can serve as an invaluable resource to those who have been victimized in nearly every sector of the art and collectible industry.
Membership of The Fine Art Advocacy Foundation is not limited to victims of art crime and art fraud. The Fine Art Advocacy Foundation welcomes as members any individuals that believe in our objectives and would like to offer their assistance. The privacy of our members is always protected.
As an organization, we report and publish incidents/stories that have been submitted to us by victims and others that have relevant stories to share concerning the unregulated fine art and collectible industry. We are providing the public, previous and future cruise travelers, and our visitors with such details. Our mission is a matter of public policy and is intended to raise public awareness of potential threats and abuse, due to the unregulated fine art and collectible industry and the lack of accountability.
